About the Shepherd |

|
| My experience with goats began with the Nubians I bred for many years. Then I discovered the meat producing Boer Goat and weaned myself over to Boer percentages. I liked the results so much that I sold my percentage Boer kids to purchase my first fullblood Boer buck. I liked him so much that I sold the rest of my kids to buy a fullblood yearling doe and set out to assemble a herd of fullblood Boers. My goal is to produce percentage Boers for meat and fullblood Boers for breeding stock from a closed herd. |

| Border Collies make my work much easier. The Borders watch my back as well as move my goats. It's as if they read my mind. I have never had a coyote, bear, wolf, or cat problem here but we now have dogs moving into the area. The Great Pyrenees will keep an eye on them. |
